himself established.

The
Traveling trowel was gifted to Provincial Grand Lodge, Aberdeenshire, West by
Bro. Walter Sneddon P.M.
It
is used as a means of raising monies for local charities and the objective is
for a deputation from any of the twenty Freemason's Lodges within the province
to capture the trowel from the lodge holding it and return it to their lodge.
Before
the trowel is captured a donation is collected and handed over to Provincial
Grand Lodge.
The
lodge holding the trowel at the end of the season has the opportunity to
nominate a local charity to receive the money, which has been collected
throughout the year.
It
is also a great way to promote visits between daughter lodges throughout the
season, with all the benefits that brings.
