Fraternal greetings.

Hello, I thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself and let you see who's behind all that code.

I joined the 'craft' in 1984 and have held most offices in the lodge. When the lodge decided they wanted a presence on the 'net' I volunteered my meager services pretty sharply. It was the ideal situation for me, being already interested in computing and being retired meant I had the time to devote to it, ( and believe me it takes up a lot of my time ) Prior to this effort I had little or no experience of designing web sites, and some might say that I still don't. However, here it is - my first attempt, which I'm quite pleased with, although not all that pleased as the replacement is already under construction.

The 'techies' amongst you will probably be interested in the following : the site was created using Microsoft FrontPage and is hosted by an Apache server on a yearly contract.

The original aim of this website was primarily to keep our membership informed of lodge affairs ( many of them work in the oil industry, two weeks on and two weeks off, which makes attendance somewhat erratic.) However one cannot escape the universality of this medium, which to my mind slots in rather well with the tenets of freemasonry, and I quickly realized that we were being visited by brethren from all around the world. I have therefore tried to make the site more appealing to the surfing visitor by expanding upon the original concept, including items such as graphics, etc. The mark two site which is under construction will reflect this even more.
